  1. Thanks for posting these Emily. I have had some of these things said to or about my daughter, although seeing them also reminds me of what a kind and understanding community I live in. This happens very seldom and most people go out of there way to be loving and supportive.
    I also want to remark on what it meant to my daughter when I told her not too long ago that we are all adopted children of God. She wouldn’t believe me and I had to show her the word “adopted” in the bible. Our daughter suffers many fears and insecurities because she is adopted, because she doesn’t look like the rest of the family and because of the hardships she experienced during her years in an orphanage. To learn that everyone is adopted made a huge difference to her.
