How I feel about the reports that the rose windows at Notre Dame de Paris were spared destruction in the fire. Yes, they are just bits of glass formed by human hands, but they are also prophetic witnesses to the glory of God. Yes, some day they will become dust, but by God’s grace, not till he makes all things new in his glorious reappearing. He uses the maimed body of Jesus to make new life, God does not throw out the whole project.
